Preterism Gets Its Due
In a recent storm of denounciation over the Revelations miniseries, Tim Lahaye has also criticized Tyndale for endorsing a preterist novel. How dare another Christian have an eschatology different from the mighty Lahaye?
Maybe, he is worried that The Last Disciple will push his work of FICTION off the New York Times Bestseller's List.
It is ironic how he critized this view. While I'm not a Preterist, it's hard to believe that dispensational premillialism is the only option that is Bible-driven. They all fit biblical simiarlly, some way or another, to some degree. Maybe he's mad. Isn't LaHaye and Jenkins writing like another series of Left Behind? Like a prequil or something?
Right on Ricky! It's about time that the American church stops leaning on Lahaye for their theology. Spreading a little preterist theology would help a lot of folks anyway.
